Billfire, LLC — website terms of use

These terms cover the website. Your contract is somewhere else.

If you subscribe to VALET360, the master services agreement your company signed governs the software, your data, uptime and everything that matters commercially. This page is the smaller thing: the rules for reading billfire.com.

The short version

01

Read the site, quote it, send it to your CFO. That is what it is for.

02

Don’t scrape it, break into it, or resell it as your own.

03

What’s on the site is information, not a warranty and not an offer.

04

Nothing here changes a signed agreement. If the two disagree, the agreement wins.

Who this applies to

Anyone who visits billfire.com. You agree to these terms by using the site, which is the standard arrangement on the internet and not something we are going to make you click a box about.

If you log into VALET360, these terms are not the ones you care about. Your access is governed by the master services agreement between Billfire and your employer. Ask your administrator for a copy, or email us and we will point you to the right document.

What you can and can’t do here

You are welcome to read the site, print it, save a page, and share it inside your company. If you want to quote us in a presentation or an article, go ahead — attribute it to Billfire and don’t change the meaning.

What we ask you not to do: scrape or bulk-download the site, probe it for vulnerabilities or try to get into parts of it that aren’t public, use it to send anything automated at volume, republish our content as your own or as a competitive product’s, or strip our name off it. If you are a security researcher and you find something, email us rather than proving it.

We can restrict access to the site if someone is doing one of those things. That is the extent of the enforcement mechanism on a public marketing site.

Who owns what

Billfire, LLC owns the site: the writing, the layout, the product screenshots, and the Billfire and VALET360 names and logos. Reading the site doesn’t transfer any of that to you, and the permissions above are the only ones we are granting.

Customer names, logos and quotes on the site belong to those customers and appear with their permission. Other companies’ marks — ERP vendors, associations, partners — belong to them, and their appearance here doesn’t mean they endorse us unless we say so plainly.

The content is informational

Everything on this site describes VALET360 as it stands today, and the product changes. Screenshots get redesigned, features move, and what we call a roadmap item now may end up looking different or not shipping at all. We try to keep the site honest about what exists, and our rule is that if something isn’t ready it isn’t on the website.

Benchmarks, DSO figures and results attributed to customers are their numbers in their circumstances. Yours will differ. Nothing on the site is a guarantee of a particular outcome, a promise of a specific timeline, or accounting, legal or credit advice — the lien and notice deadlines we mention are a good example of something you should confirm with your own counsel.

Prices and terms on the site are indicative. A binding offer comes from a signed order form, not from a page.

Forms, email and links out

When you fill in a form, tell us the truth about who you are and don’t submit someone else’s details. What we do with what you send is in the privacy notice. If you ask us for AR benchmarks we will email them until you tell us to stop, and every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link that works.

We link to other sites — associations, ERP partners, the occasional article. We don’t control them and we’re not responsible for what’s on them.

The site is provided as-is

We make no warranty that this website is accurate, complete, uninterrupted or error-free, and to the extent the law allows we disclaim the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement as they apply to the site. Billfire is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising out of your use of billfire.com, and our total liability for anything connected to this website is capped at one hundred dollars.

Read that paragraph as being about the website only. VALET360’s availability, support commitments and liability are covered in the master services agreement, where the numbers are considerably more serious.

Law, changes and the order of precedence

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and any dispute about this website belongs in the state or federal courts located there. The site is directed at users in the United States.

If a signed agreement between you and Billfire says something different from this page, the signed agreement controls. If one provision here turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.

We will update these terms from time to time and change the date below when we do. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new version.
